Busy moms unite! Laurie Busymom writes about her days (and nights).

Here's a unique listing of hotels, motels and bed and breakfasts in Texas. It lists the distance from the lodging establishment to major airports and its proximity to the downtown area. It also tells you if the hotel is upscale or moderately priced and the allowable credit cards. Since this is a list of contracted hotels for State of Texas business travelers, ignore the rates quoted.

365 days ago, I dropped my son off at school and headed home to see my daughter and wife. Natalie was 6 days old and I had arranged to take three weeks off for her birth. A report on the radio said a plane had hit the World Trade Center. "What a freak accident," I thought. "The plane must have not achieved sufficient altitude and crashed." I didn't realize planes aren't allowed to fly close to tall buildings. I just assumed it was an accident. The news report didn't suggest otherwise. Then the reporter said a second plane had crashed into the World Trade Center. This was no accident.

Dripping Springs voters will soon decide if stores can sell alcohol. I urge citizens to vote yes. Currently, citizens travel to neighboring counties to purchase alcohol, but lost sales are not limited to beer and wine. When Dripping Springs residents venture to Travis County to buy their Miller Lite, they also buy other items such as milk, meat and other goods, resulting in thousands of sales (and tax revenue) being lost.

By the way, several years ago, my Dad worked hard to bring alcohol sales to Kyle.
