I've been getting that Spam messages asking me to help a rich, foreigner retrieve money that is rightfully his. What a scam!

I volunteered at a campaign yesterday. I called about 75 persons and asked them to come to a rally.

Do you know how to get involved in a political campaign?
Just volunteer.
It's that simple. You don't have to know anyone or pass a test. Politicians are always in need of persons to staff phone backs, stuff envelopes, post signs and pass out bumpers stickers. Moments after walking into a volunteer center, bang, you are part of the political process.
Politicians know their best volunteers. In fact, they know them as well as they know their best contributors. So if you don't have a lot of cash to give, but you want to have an impact on an election, just walk in and volunteer.
Large, statewide campaigns often have a volunteer coordinator. Walk into to politicians headquarters and tell her you want to help. If you don't know how to contact the volunteer coordinator, look in the phone book for your local political party's office and call them. Someone there will know the contact person for that politician.

We had a very solid Diez y Seis Celebration in Kyle this weekend. As usual, this celebration acts as a family reunion of sorts for my family and many others. It was good to see everyone.

As I hoped, Dripping Springs passed the referendum to allow alcohol sales. The voters must have read my editorial.
